KIVA Project Update: May 2018
I received this “journal update” from the Amani Group in Tanzania:

Greetings from Tanzania! Thank you for supporting Gaudensia, a hard working fruit seller and “Amani group” Morogoro with the loan. I’m pleased to inform you that the borrowers are doing extremely well and with the loan received, Gaudensia added more stock of mangoes, yellow, watermelon, oranges and avocados. She used the additional profit for loan repayment and pay school fees for her children. Gaudensia and “Amani group” Morogoro are very grateful for the loan and thankful to everyone who had supported them.

Belen from Barranquilla, Columbia, was a previous loan recipient through KIVA, utilizing her previous loan to invest in clothing, perfumes, personal hygiene products, make-up and household products. She says to her lenders: “Thank you for the support from Kiva. It has contributed to this family’s improving their socioeconomic conditions.”
She is now arranging a new loan to invest further in the purchase of various merchandise (clothing, perfumes, personal hygiene products, etc.) for resale in her store.
I encourage you to visit Kiva’s website and see the various ways you can make a difference for these women, either by starting your own account or by contributing to the BPW account via a Kiva Card.
