Join BPW Saskatoon as we celebrate International Women’s Day with the Edwards School of Business, the Betty-Ann Heggie Womentorship Program and LUNAFEST 2019.

In 2000, LUNA started LUNAFEST – a traveling film festival celebrating, showcasing and championing women in film. The festival is a fundraiser held by any host who wants to raise funds for a local women’s cause while supporting the main beneficiary – Chicken & Egg Pictures.

LUNAFEST is making a mark in the industry by creating a platform for women’s untold stories and working to increase opportunity for women filmmakers.

Start the evening at Calories Restaurant where we will enjoy pre-show appetizers and networking. From there we will head to the Broadway Theatre where we have a special BPW Section reserved for us! We will enjoy films showcasing women and film.

A short panel discussion follows and will feature BPW Saskatoon Past President and BPW Canada First VP Caval Olson-Lepage.

Space is limited to get your tickets as soon as possible.

About the Panelists

Caval Olson-Lepage is the First Vice President of Business and Professional Women Canada, a group which encourages women to lead in our community through education, leadership and advocacy.  Caval has been an active member since 2013 and has held a number of roles within the organization, including Past President of BPW Saskatoon.  She is a fierce advocate for women’s rights which is why she was also named the 2016-2018 BPW Canada’s National Chairperson to End Violence against Women, an issue that is very near to her heart. In 2016 Caval came forward and boldly shared her story as a survivor of an abusive relationship herself.

On the personal side, Caval has been married to her husband Alan for 12 years. Together they have a son, Ethan, who is 10 going on 20! Ethan and Caval share a love for all things sci-fi with a particular fondness for Doctor Who (especially the Christmas specials). Caval also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, camping, hiking, knitting, playing slo-pitch and of course, drinking wine.
