On Tuesday, March 11th, from 12pm – 1pm, we’ll be hosting a lunch and learn with Caval Olson-Lepage, former First Vice President with BPW Canada, former Liaison for BPW International, and former President of BPW Saskatoon.
In her role as Liaison, Caval ensured that BPW Canada’s goals and initiatives aligned with BPW International’s goals.
During Caval’s tenure, BPW International’s theme was “Empowering Women to Realize the Sustainable Development Goals.” It was clear to Caval that, while this idea is inspiring and sounds great, most people don’t know how to take action on it.
The disconnect between theory and action motivated her to create a workshop to help educate members on how they can act at a local level.
Caval’s workshop has been adopted both by BPW Canada and BPW International for use around the world, and we feel honoured that she’s bringing her action-focused workshop directly to us!
In the 1-hour workshop, you’ll learn:
– More about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (ranging from addressing gender inequality to eliminating poverty).
– How you can take part in achieving the SDGs, focusing directly on the impact these SDGs have on improving the lives of women.
BPW Members – $10
Guests – $15
**A recording will be available to all who register.
**All proceeds from this workshop are being donated to the Saskatoon Sexual Assault & Information Centre
